Lazy River Hostel is located in Loket, Czech Republic in the western part of the country (West Bohemia). We are about 2 1/2 hours west of Prague. Loket is one of the Czech Republic’s most picturesque towns. Nestled within a sharp bend in the River Ohre, the tiny medieval village is dominated by its magnificent castle (Hrad Loket) and surrounded by the lush hills of the Slavkov Forest (Slavkovksy Les).

About Us
Our hostel is very small. At the moment our total capacity is only 17 beds! We offer a friendly and very laid-back environment with a helpful English-speaking staff and lots of information about the area and things to do here. The hostel is located in an historic building right next to the castle and about 1 minute from the town square. We have a large common room, bright and clean dormitory, kitchen facilities, laundry service, small library, and an easy-going atmosphere.Stuff to do
In the summer (and winter) there are lots of nice hiking trails to explore, operas and concerts in the outdoor theater with stunning views of the castle, good day trips to go on, a cool castle to explore, and lots of opportunities to just chill out. In addition, Karlovy Vary (Czech Republic’s most famous spa town) is only minutes away by bus. In the winter Loket is usually covered in snow and is a great place to spend the holidays or take a break from your travels. This time of year you can go skiing or snowboarding at a nearby ski resort depending on snow conditions. Equipment rentals and lessons are available at the ski center. Some of the cheapest opportunities for skiing/boarding in all of Europe. So call ahead to let us know you are coming and we look forward to meeting you soon!
